New Employee Class Structure Effective 1 July 2016

It was determined that the proposed blended OPE rates for fringe chargeback would have unintended impacts on the competitiveness of university grant proposals.

As a result we will not change fringe budgeting and forecasting methods in Banner next fiscal year.

We will however, proceed with the implementation of a new employee class code structure for faculty.

The employee class changes effective 1 July 2016 are available in the Banner Guide under HRIS 'News & Recent Updates',

University systems and reports that depend on employee class codes will need to be reprogrammed before July 1st.

Please share this with others in your organization responsible for systems or reports that may be impacted.
